Hi, my name is Rebecca,
I grew up in a small town in West Central Wisconsin and moved to Wauwatosa for my
ultrasound internship in 2006. I initially went into the ultrasound field on a whim, but quickly fell

in love with the challenge of it. I love knowing how different organ systems and diseases work
together and seeing how that translates onto a black and white computer screen.  I love being
part of the diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease.
I worked in human medicine for 16 years until I stumbled upon veterinary ultrasound. It is
perfect because it combines my passion for ultrasound along with my love of animals. I was
pleasantly surprised to find many similarities between human and small animal ultrasound. I
enjoy getting to see and pet as many animals as possible, but I love the challenge of helping an
animal who cannot communicate what is happening, or why they feel so poorly. The pure
gratitude seen on owner's faces when I can help make their pets feel better is a close second!
My professional interest is continuing to expand my knowledge and skills. I am always open to
learning new things. I believe you should never stop learning, and that includes in your
professional world as well.
I live with my husband and youngest daughter. Our two older daughters have graduated and are
out of the house. We also share our home with two very spoiled Pitbulls (Larry and Lola)
and two sassy cats (Maci and Graci). I love to spend time with my family and pets. We have a
vacation home in west central Wisconsin where we do many outdoors activities such as ATVing,
kayaking, biking and snowmobiling. I also enjoy reading and traveling.
When driving between appointments I listen to a lot of podcasts. I love true crime and there are
no shortages of true crime podcasts! In between podcasts I listen to music. I love all types of
music.
