Our cardiac ultrasounds, or Echocardiograms, follow the Idexx cardiac protocol, which is considered industry standard for Echocardiograms. We evaluate the structure and function of the heart by using B-Mode (2D), M-mode, Color flow Doppler and Spectral Doppler (pulse wave and continuous wave).
By using a combination of still images, and cine loops (short video clips) we can capture the entirety of the heart and it’s movements to make a diagnosis and provide treatment recommendations.
These images demonstrate some of the different views and modes we use when imaging the heart. This is not a complete study.
All Echocardiogram studies are interpreted by an ACVIM Cardiologist. Please click here to review sample reports.
